No long waiting to exhale
I can breathe again! I feel like Ive been holding my breath for the past few months. Ive been running around town trying to choose cabinets, flooring, countertops, light fixtures, etc for our house. Then I get home and second guess all of my decisions. Will the cabinets look O.K. with the wood floors? Will the paint look O.K. with the carpet? Will the tile clash with the slate? I only had small samples to go by. I felt like I was blindly choosing these items. I cant count how many times I had to go pick up the carpet sample to match it with something else.
Well, Ive seen the fruition of my craziness today. The cabinets were installed today in the house. They look really, really good. They look great with the flooring. With a tiny sample of this and a tiny sample of that, it somehow all turned out.
I really messed up on the interior paint color, but that is something I can fix over time. I enjoy painting. If I made a stupid decision on the tile for the shower, it would cost us a ton to fix it. Whew!
It feels good to breathe again! Maybe I should pursue an interior decorating career. LOL!!!
